You wake up on a plank of wood in the middle of an ocean. You feel around, the water is clammy, your shirt is slightly torn at the collar and there is a cut under your right eye. There is nothing in sight but never ending waves. In the distance you can see a wooden object. As it floats towards you, with every roll of the wave, it appears to look like a box. As it gets closer you can see it’s a barrel with air holes. As your raft drifts closer and closer the object slowly becomes in your reach. You stick your hand out into the water and you grab it. You notice that it’s about the size of the boat you were on earlier. You decide to pry it open, King Kong climbs out of the barrel and stands on a nearby island. He throws whatever he can find at you. A rock hits the small raft-like structure you’re laying on and you start to sink slowly. All of a sudden you see a shadowy figure leap out of the water. When it lands on the island to confront King Kong you notice that it’s Chuck Norris. King Kong grabs Chuck Norris, Kong then brings Chuck closer to his face so he can get a better look at him. You worry that this could be the end for Good ol’ chuck, and at that very moment, Chuck Norris punches King Kong in the face with the fist under his beard. He then proceeds to Roundhouse kick King Kong so hard that he rips a hole in Time. King Kong flies through the hole and lands in front of a man, the current year is 10,000 B.C. The man looks at Kong for a moment, then roundhouse kicks him in the face, killing King Kong. The man takes off his mask to reveal himself as Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris is past, present, and future.

- List 10 new facts that you did not know before
- What is CTD?
- Why do CTD’s occur?
- What is Egronomics
1. CTD’s are Cumulative Trauma Disorders.
Soft tissue inflamation is the result of irritation to nerves.
Carpal tunnel syndrom is soft tissue inflamation and nerve compression.
Carpal tunnel is one of many CTD’s.
A Neutral position occurs when you line up the segments of your body. Your head is directly over your shoulders, your shoulders over your hips and so on.
Your arms should be at a 90 degree angle.
2. Cumulative Trauma Disorders
3. CTD’s occur because of result of things like holding your body in same places for long periods of time. Long period’s of high speed timing can cause CTD’s. Genetics can help cause CTD’s. The most common causes are from their posture. Some symptoms are tightness, tingling and coldness in your hands. Pain that wakes you up at night. Some cures to CTD’s are braces and possibly surgery.
4. Egronomics is the science that deals with people their work environments and the tasks they preform within it.
I chose to come to St.Mary because when i came here during an open house i felt at home and comfortable. The first day I was kind of nervous but after a bit of time I felt that this was an awesome school. Today I feel that I made the right choice, coming to St.Mary. Its full of a lot of nice people and the faculty and staff make it feel like your home. I think its a fantastic school and anyone that hasn’t at least gone to an open house or freshman for a day should go to see what its like because I think they would love the school the second they walked in the doors. I originally wanted to go to Queen of Peace high school but me and a buddy decided to check St. Mary out. The teachers all know what they’re talking about and they’re all awesome, unlike a few teachers i had in grammar school. I feel that being in St.Mary helped my education more in one year then grammar school did in 11 years. Pre-K to Eighth Grade was full of confusion. Teachers would teach stuff and not explain it thoroughly even though they spent days on one lesson, teachers here spend one period on the lesson and I understand everything about it.
“Most back pain is caused by bad posture whilst sitting. ‘Even though bad posture may not cause any discomfort, continual poor posture will in the long term cause back pain.’ (ref. Back Care by Health Education Bureau)
“Good posture is the most important way of preventing back pain” (ref. Back Care by Health Education Bureau)
When sitting with bad posture the spine adopts a forward “C” Shape.”
“Perfect Posture is that position of the seated spine when the pressure on the intervertebral discs is least. Every spine has its own unique shape. When this shape is preserved the posture is perfect. However, the human spine was not designed to be seated, and perfect posture is nearly impossible to attain for long periods. It must be supported. In engineering terms the spine is a vertical flexible column that becomes flawed when seated. It needs correct support.”
“To get relief, or to prevent damaging your spine, you must take immediate steps to reduce your spinal pressure by sitting correctly with your spine in its natural curved “S” position. This is systematically achieved by:”
“Footrest”
“Use a footrest, or some old telephone directories about 4 inches high. This raises the height of your knees and effectively changes your centre of gravity backwards helping to improve your posture.”
“Sit close to Desk”
“Sit as close to the desk as possible. This will counteract your old habit of bending forward over the desk.”
“Sitting”
“When working for long periods it is essential that your back be supported from the lumber region to at least the shoulder blades. The chair should be designed to support the whole spine right up to your neck. Naturally when you look down at your work you will lose contact slightly with the neck support. Ideally you should have a small lectern on the desk top. This will allow you to work with total spinal support.”

This article is about Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. Jared Monti. According accounts from soldiers that were present and the pentagon, Sgt. Jared Monti was killed in action saving Pvt. Brian Bradbury. On June 21, 2006 Sgt. Jared Monti was leading a small patrol when he was ambushed by a dozen Taliban fighters. He radioed for backup before noticing that Pvt. Bradbury who was part of his patrol was wounded and exposed to enemy fire. Other sergeants offered to go out and rescue him when they heard Sgt. Monti say “no”. Monti felt that it was his job to get Bradbury since he was part of his patrol. Sgt. Monti made three attempts to save Bradbury but had to take cover on two to avoid enemy fire. On the third attempt he ran out and grabbed Bradbury. He was mortally wounded and died soon after. A U.S. Helicopter dropped a medic down to go grab Bradbury. An unfortunate turn of events would have Bradbury and the medic falling to their deaths as cables snapped while they were being lifted into the helicopter. Sergeant Jared Monti died a true hero, trying to save a fellow comrade , and was rewarded the Medal of Honor by President Obama.
My Favorite Childhood Memory was when I got my first dog. I was around 4 years old and my grandma and my mom brought home a dog to surprise me. She was a jack russell terrier with black spots all over her. My mom and grandma let me name her so, looking at the spots and not the dog I decided to name her Spot. That was my favorite childhood memory because I always wanted a dog before that. My mom and grandma bringing the dog home made me very happy and excited.
